Death of a tree

We had torrential rain during the night on Monday /Tuesday, there was also a mini tornado which ripped through the park bringing two 190 year old trees down. Fortunately for the householders the trees fell to the right of their gardens due to the ground on the left of the trunk being very wet and the tree roots also being diseased.
Went to have a look this morning and the guys have made a start on cutting them up. One of the residents was coming back with a wheelbarrow full of logs for his wood burner.
