La vida de Annie

By Annie

Tres ruedas.

New Normality day 54.
Seen in a motorcycle shop in Mahon: a scooter with three wheels! I like the colour though.
In other news, the King and his Mrs visited the island today, notably the cheese-manufacturing cooperative in Alaior, and then the oldest antiquity on the island, La Naveta des Tudons. This is the most emblematic collective funerary monument of the Talaolithic culture of Menorca, which developed during the Bronze Age and the Iron Age, and one of the best preserved prehistoric buildings on the island. There was a large turnout in support of the royals, but also a lot of protesting anti-royalists who were kept quietly out of the way (no tear-gas and rubber bullets here!). I don't know enough about the situation to have an informed opinion, but King Felipe VI seems to be a pleasant chap, and is touring all parts of his country to show support for the difficult times suffered by all his subjects during the pandemic.
