The eyes still have it!

There I was, driving quietly along the road, when this hare jumped out in front of me. I slowed down and it ran down the road before jumping into the verge.
I pulled into the side, just in case, and got out of my car.
And there he was.
Hiding in the grass.
I don’t know if he saw me, but he stayed still long enough for me to take his photo.
He just has that “wild-eyed” look
