Bit of drama in the garden pond

This is a larva of a Great Diving Beetle in our garden pond, a powerful thing that can attack small fish (and give fingers a nasty bite too). I read that it can attack other beetle larvae, but here it seems to have attacked an adult Diving Beetle and is now devouring it. Gosh, the things you see when you sit in the sun and just watch!
