Finding Shade.

The eldest was at a dance summer school in Windermere again today. Yesterday, myself & the youngest walked up to the town centre, in the sweltering heat & got an ice cream which was as big as her head!

Unfortunately, said ice cream melted very rapidly & my youngest felt forced to eat it at lightening speed so as to get the best of it (& she doesn’t like the sensation of sticky ice cream dripping down her arms).

So, on enquiring as to what she’d like to do today whilst her sister danced, she said she’d like to sit in the shade & play on the iPad. We therefore took plenty of water & a nice packed lunch to compliment the passive, screen-gazing experience & I didn’t once hear a grumble or objection.
