Imogen and I went to WWT Arundel. Rain was forecast, but our time at the centre was mostly dry and only drizzly at worst. It was also mostly quiet which was a bonus.
The black-necked grebes and scaly-sided mergansers were the highlights today, but we also spent a lot of time with the long-tailed ducks and scoters, saw lots of sedge warblers, and enjoyed seeing the swan geese, maned ducks, and other familiar faces. Arundel's emperor geese were nowhere to be seen (boo), and one of the largest areas was a massive construction site as an aviary and pelican enclosure are being constructed, but otherwise it was a jolly visit.

Mum kept the ducks company today, and it was amusing to arrive back to find them mooching on the terrace with my parents.
