Afternoon snack

It's been a wild, windy, wet weekend..wonderful!
It has been an enforced relaxing one - no housework over the weekend is my motto. i have spent time in the kitchen though, and made rusks, moussaka, and chicken soup (enjoyed the latter for lunch)
This scene is taken from my window. A gathering of birds - the weaver, surrounded by sparrows gives a touch of colour.
The puddle adds to the photo, proving that we have had rain!
