Fluffy and Prickly

Another in the series of RRDD (Regular Route; Different Day); I took a good long stroll along the Letcombe Footpath; trying to keep in the shade as the temperature and humidity soared.

The crops have already been taken in here, and the fields alongside the footpath looked baked and bare; with only the occasional tuft of a rugged weed.  Not pretty, more like a drought than a harvest.  Fortunately the thistles along the footpath were looking better for the hot dry weather.  However it did feel as if we were already well into Autumn!
