The Rear of a Rhea

With rain forecast for the whole day we went for breakfast at Saddleback Farm Shop Cafe.  Always a treat, and it is great that it has re-opened, what with one thing and another; as it got into The Guardian's top ten places for breakfast.  However the weather there was dreadful.

Back over The Ridgeway into Oxfordshire it was better and we went up to Millets Farm Centre for lovely fresh strawberries and a wander along the Animal Walkway and into Phoebe Wood.

Phoebe Wood was planted to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar and is named after HMS Phoebe.  It contains all the types of trees used to build and maintain the ships of the line in those days.

We enjoyed the Rheas, and the Alpacas (see extra photo - which I wanted to call 'A bit of a Llama Drama' - but they are not Llamas!!)
