Surf's up!

There was a surfing competition down on the beach this afternoon.
It as rather grey and rainy for most of it, but this did not put off the surfers.
There were various age groups and categories each of which was given about 15 minutes to go into the waves and impress the judges before being called back in. It was quite entertaining.
Today's second extra shows the judges and some of the supporters on the beach. The lower image is of the last group of surfers dashing off to do their stuff. By this time, the weather had brightened up.
