Its that time again.

Time for the Autumn lady’s-tresses ( Spiranthes spiralis) which grows well in several places in the Arnside/Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This small delicate orchid has flowers which grow in a near perfect spiral round the stem. It likes the chalk country of Hampshire, Sussex and Kent and the damp slacks of South Devon. But it also flourished on limestone grassland in Yorkshire and around Morecambe Bay.
