The Ring

About 50 yards from our cottage in Nelson is the workshop of the creator of The Ring. We've come across, or sought out, some of the sites that were used for the trilogy including the ford where the Nazgul chase Frodo which is at Arrowtown. It looked just as I remembered but without the black riders. It's good to see the old blue plaque again. In the window is an enormous ring which would nearly fit around my wrist. Apparently he made lots of these to fit whoever was wearing it.
