A general anaesthetic can make one so thirsty - the first thing Hazel did when home from the Vet was to dash to his favourite watering-hole.

Sadly, the news from the Vet was not good. Instead of Hazel's trouble coming from a painful mouth, that part of his anatomy was relatively clear. However, the Vet detected a large lump in his chest, almost certainly a tumour, which would account for the sudden and rapid loss of weight. There is little we can do.

I console myself that (despite the constant disapproval of Bramble) he has had a  happier life that that before we adopted him and expect to maintain that love and care for as long as necessary.
