The Weald and Downland Museum

Today was the last day of our short break and what a wet one!

We got thoroughly soaked going round the beautiful Weald & Downland open air museum but as we'd booked tickets in advance it seemed a shame not to go. We visited it a few years ago and will definitely go back again, hopefully on a dry day!  I've attached extras of some Tudor and medieval houses and an interior of a Victorian school.

But my main blip is of one of the old barns where they shoot the BBC TV programme 'The Repair Shop' and in which they repair all the wonderful old possessions that people bring in to be have restored beautifully to their original state.  The funny thing was - in keeping with the celebrity theme of our holiday - some of the stars/repairers of the programme were having dinner in our hotel last night!  They were very friendly and chatty and we spoke to Jay, Will and Dom.  If you've seen the programme you'll know who I'm talking about and if not, apologies!  Dom (who is the metal restorer) can be seen walking across in front of the barn in my last extra.
