Marwell Zoo

It rained, it rained and it rained some more. Not the best of days to visit a zoo, but family had booked tickets which were not transferable, so to the zoo we went, and got very, very wet. Most of the animals had the right idea by sheltering in their houses, whilst us lot walked from enclosure to enclosure in the hope of seeing something spectacular. My favourite place in any zoo is the tropical house with the free flying birds but as my camera was already suffering from drowning, the humidity in there made it impossible to take a shot, so all I have to offer is mum zebra with her calf sheltering from the most inclement weather.

Back home to dry off in 'Matilda', I finished knitting latest sock, did a bit more of crochet blanket and read a few more chapters of book ....... Whilst Mr HB had a snooze and then continued reading more of his Pilot magazine.

And It's still raining.
