The Artist's Eye

Proud Chef

Shelly cooked dinner tonight - sautéed veggies, quinoa salad from Costco and ahi tuna. It was delicious. We ate on the couch with folding tables in front of us as we watched the Democratic Convention. There were several really good speeches. Former President Obama delivered a searing accounting of Trump's failure as a president. He echoed my own feelings about Trump's lack of character. Then Kamala Harris spoke of the change she and Joe Biden will bring to the US if they are elected. It won't be an easy road to bring us back from the terrible place Trump has brought us with his divisiveness, bullying and nastiness. And his mishandling of the pandemic. I hope deeply that Trump's presidency ends this year. His values and his approach to leading are polar opposite to what I think we need in this country and in this world. We need honesty, compassion, strength, empathy, and a respect for science. We need someone who cares for the people in this country and not only about himself.
