Cylinder Head!

Seen at a farmhouse next to the River Ivel – it's a weir that seems to sit between the Ivel and the Great Ouse (which is anything but Great at this point) – just to the west of the A1 at Tempsford.  Tempsford is the airfield, now disused (except as a practice area for Mark Jefferies the aerobatic pilot) from which Lysanders used to operate during World War II, taking agents to occupied France.

We were there picking blackberries; it was a beautiful day, a decent temperature with sunshine and a stiff breeze – the vanguard of Ellen I suppose.

In the Extras, a lady who helped, and who will cook delicious desserts (I'm not allowed to take photos, and certainly not to post them online, so please keep it quiet) and of my arm trying not to be punctured.
