Just Hum a Few Bars

Male Ruby-throated Hummingbird approaching Hamelia flowers. The tiny territorial males have been buzzing around of late, chasing their rivals and claiming every flower, feeder and air space. Their very high-pitched sounds are music to my ears. C, who has suffered an eardrum injury, can't always hear them! But I hear them 'yelling' at each other as they fly madly about. I know to enjoy them while I can because one of these days soon, they will be gone, off on their migration.

'If you truly love Nature, you will find beauty everywhere.'
