Loch Lyon to Auch

That's where this road runs. I was saying the other day how places in the Highlands are closer than the road miles may suggest. Here is a good example.
To get to Loch Lyon we need to go down the A82 to Crianalarich, then the Strirling road to Lix Toll, turn off to Killin, follow north Loch Tay road, then cut north on a narrow hill road to Glen Lyon then carry on up the glen to Pebil, then continue a few km more on a Land Rover track. This is just over a hundred miles.
We were favoured by permission to take this shortcut, leaving the A82 near Bridge of Orchy and through the mountains to Loch Lyon in less than ten miles. Although the track is slow it stll saved about 40 miles and didn;t get stuck behind a camper van. Extra is Loch Lyon
