A classic walk

An early start (so we could park) - Over to Buttermere (loads of parking at 8.30) and we walked up Red Pike, over High Stile and High Crag, returning along the western shore. This photo was as we climbed up Red Pike, and passed Dodd (Dodd is a common name in the Lakes - it is an old Norsk word for round-topped hill). This is a panorama of 4 photos stitched together.

Such a great day out - 9 miles but pretty steep in places.
