Brown's Clix

What I was doing (as requested in Missymmo's challenge for today) in the hour after that time was this sketch (from a photo taken on my recent S Africa jaunt) of a mother and baby impala. The baby was about 2 hours old.

Impala have their young in isolation away from the rest of the herd, and stay away for about 24 hours, by which time the baby is strong enough to keep up with the rest.

Think I need to work on Mum's eyes but working with oil pastel on pastel paper doesn't allow for ultrafine detail!
