Saturday: Reuse, Recycle

Today’s blip is of some Italian paper bags which I’ve had for a dozen or more years. Originally wrappings for olive oil, honey and nougat they have been re-used for storing seeds I collected from the garden destined for the Cottage Garden Seed Swap, folded and kept safely so that I can again remember a sunny day on Sardinia ... a blessing really when the weather today was wet and windy ... least said about that ...
Experimented with fabric I recycled from yesterday - soaked the linen  and muslin then pressed with hot iron. Sewing them with the machine was a nightmare, muslin kept getting caught on the needle and jamming under the presser foot ... back to the drawing board ...
Surprise FaceTime with my little granddaughter and her baby sister and her Mam and Dad, always a joy to see them and chat, can’t get over how our big girl has grown, so chatty and utterly gorgeous :-)))) xxxx
MrD had a ride out to the mountains on his motorbike, so very busy and luckily arrived home just as the rain started.
Stay safe & healthy and happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
