Whitby fossil

In to Berwick with MrM this morning - he had an appointment with the dental hygienist, and I'd managed to make an appointment at the optician's for the same time. One of the nose pads on my specs had broken, and before Covid it would have been simply a matter of walking into the shop, no pre-booking necessary! Anyway, I arrived at the appointed time, and dutifully stood on the spot marked 'stand here' while the nose pads were replaced, the side arms straightened, and my specs were cleaned. Couldn't have asked for more!

Back to meet MrM, to discover that someone had parked diagonally across the entrance to the dentist's car park, blocking us in. Luckily, one of the lovely dental assistants noticed us waiting outside, and arranged to move a colleague's car so we could drive away.

Home for lunch, and a productive afternoon catching up on domestic stuff, and hemming the bathroom curtains.

A little bit of a 'flat' day though - today we should have gone to Whitby, to set up our stall at the Craft and Music Fair at Whitby Folk Week.
The Blip is Whitby related - almost exactly 6 years ago, I found this fossil on the beach between Sands End and Whitby, but that's another story...
