I've been watching these Yellow Swallow Tails flitting and floating past me all summer, but they never seemed to settle on anything for me to take a photo. Well, today was my lucky day! I caught this one on a huge feeding jag. In fact, you can see its excitement in this photo, as the top wings were still beating while it was sipping nectar. After a while, it settled in, and I got a nice still shot in profile. See the extra.
