Day 153 Shades of green

My shot today is of St John's pond which is at the top of our road.  These last two Summers it has suffered greatly from the lack of rain and both this year and last there were times when it was reduced to just a small puddle in the middle.  The rains of the last week have helped it along and this afternoon there were a few ducks swimming around.  The water is quite a murky green though so it doesn't look quite as pretty as it has in previous shots.
This morning we ventured out to our local paint shop.  Yesterday our lovely decorator J popped round to look at the 3 smallish jobs we have lined up for him,  First he is going to paint the cast iron mantel in the front room and we needed to choose a paint for that.  We needed a particular colour with no special  name and the young lady who served was able to custom mix something for us -  great service!  Next we went to Screwfix for some spray paint which, it transpires, they no longer stock.  In addition, you cannot browse but have to choose from the catalogue, order online and 'click and collect'.  We'll probably be giving that store a miss from now on.
