A sticky business

We chickened out of cheating on the quarantine rules. Mirfield where we live has zero covid infections but we are part of Kirklees where we are still subject to additional restrictions. We had hoped for afternoon tea in friends' garden but J is undergoing chemo and we didn't think we could chance it. Hopefully we can try again in early September. Keep your fingers crossed for us.
In consolation I baked some exceptionally good scones and I've just made the last of the blackberries from the freezer into jam. Fingers also crossed for a good set. Yesterday's redcurrant jelly is a bit on the firm side but no less delicious for it.
