Mont Blanc

Truly awful weather - relentless wind and rain all day - even here at the Centre of the Universe....:-)
Me & Mrs MD decided that we would make a serious effort to get to the top of Mont Blanc.. Fortified by a mug of Yorkshire Gold and a toasted currant teacake we mounted our treadmill and headed for the summit.
At 15,774 ft (4,808 m) it's the highest mountain in the Alps - and the second highest in Europe.  The view from the top is quite stunning - and the weather better than in HB :-)
Now we have reached such a height, we will have to look around for our next challenge - at least with virtual mountaineering we don't have any fear of being quarantined :-)
