From Catho to Nobbys and the English Channel

You may be wondering what the English Channel has to do with this blip.  Well I will tell you the story.   Sit down and relax.  In the left of the main blip on the beach you will see a Gazebo and some people milling about.   They are the welcoming crowd for Craig Clarke.   He left Catho this morning at around 6 am and swam up the coast to Nobbys where he was to step ashore to his supporters waiting here.  He had been training to swim the English Chanel and because of COVID-19 was unable to do the swim.  Plans changed and with the support of the local life saving  associations and supporters, he swam from Catherine Hill Bay (Catho) to Nobbys today, a similar distance to the English Chanel of 36 kms.  The first extra is of him just off Nobbys beach with the jet ski support after the motor launch support crew had left.   The second extra is of him staggering out of the sea up to his supporters just before 6 pm.   His estimated time to arrive was around 4 pm however he must have run into some adverse tides and the like.  He was raising money for Beyond Blue and I raise my hat to him for an amazing feat and such a worthy cause.

On another note, woofs to all the blipdogs on the International Day of the Dog.
