Dusk at the oil refinery

Stanlow oil refinery, Ellesmere Port,  is the second largest in the UK and produces 4.4 billion litres of diesel every year.  I used to drive past every day on my way to and from work in Runcorn and there was always flames and smoke emitting from the chimneys. It's cleaner now. It covers an area that is the equivalent of 300 football  pitches. This blip was taken from just outside of Ellesmere Port boat museum during a very nice photo walk with friends this evening.
