Freshwater West

We arrived in Pembroke today for our camping trip, having delayed the start of our holiday until after the 60mph winds yesterday.
We set up camp in the morning - it was dry but still quite windy.
In the afternoon we met up with our friends at Freshwater West. The sun came out but it was still quite cold due to the wind. The sea was pretty rough and the lifeguards were being very vigilant; there was only a limited period when swimming was allowed in a very small area due to strong currents. A number of our group went body boarding/surfing and there were plenty of games on the beach.
We came back to the tent for a curry which Young Master M had made for us to bring with us - very tasty.
It’s going to be wet tomorrow, so we’ll have to sit it out. Oh the joys of camping!
