Brush Strokes

Paul Larson allowed me to watch him paint today at the Loft Arts Association. And take photos.

One can't help but be in awe.

There is something amazing about watching another artist at work and how they try to communicate their vision onto the page. Although Paul and I work in different creative mediums, we both agreed that when working on a piece, one can go into a trance-like state. The brush takes over the painter's hand, the melody over the singer. Both are willing servants.

Paul is fascinated by lines in his paintings. Look at his work, and you'll understand why.
