Bracken Turning

After a visit to the doctor yesterday Mrs madwill needed to give a blood sample which they couldn’t take there and then - can doctors not take blood?? Anyway we had a choice of going to hospital or, bizarrely, to Sainsbury’s supermarket pharmacy in Harrogate!

Anyway, it opened at 7:30 a.m. this morning so we left home just after 7 and whilst Mrs madwill had the sample taken, I went round to collect a few bits…first foray into a big supermarket - it was deserted, apart from all the staff collecting stuff for home deliveries!

Back home just after 8 - no traffic on the roads either way! Had a coffee and fresh pastry before Mrs madwill went off to work!

Tried to give Finlay his medication this morning - he was wary of cream cheese which he had gobbled up yesterday, and he managed to spit out the paracetamol tablet. Finished up crushing the tablet and mixing with more cheese which he eventually swallowed - he is not sure what is going on!

I went out for a walk (in the rain) and was taken by the patch of bracken which is already turning autumnal. I liked the gradation from green to brown along the fronds.

Finally caught up on your journals - apologies if I may have missed the odd one, my ‘save’ routine doesn’t always catch backblips!
