Looking up?

So cold that if the boiler had been on its winter setting, the central heating would have come on this morning. But it's set for 'summer', so it didn't! We did light the fire this evening though.

Yet another gloomy, wet day, and I was totally lacking in Blip inspiration. Until I spotted the hole in the wall in the hall where a light switch used to be. When he moved the switch, our not very good electrician simply put electrical tape over the ends of the wires and left it at that, and it's been like it ever since. Was going to post the untouched photo but, in an attempt to put off the washing up for a bit longer, played around for a while with the Pixelmator effects. Must do it more often, as I really have no idea just how much is possible in the program. And it's much more fun than washing up!

Settled on this tile effect (Affine). It's a bit like looking up a tower block with lots of windows...
