Mile Stone

An interesting milestone at Slack Top (love the name), Heptonstall.
It informs I was standing at a spot that was 11 miles from Colne and 11 miles from Burnly (sic).  The Ordnance Survey benchmark also informs me (with the help of an OS map) I was 282m (925 ft) above sea level.
If I had checked my SatNav it would no doubt have given me the same information....:-)
