Lismore Lighthouse

Returning home on the ferry from Oban we passed the distinctive lighthouse at the western end of the Island of Lismore. Lismore is a 10 mile-long island situated at the southern end of the Great Glen Fault. It is a very fertile, low-lying island with a population of 170 and it was once a major centre of Celtic Christianity. It is only a few miles from my own island home yet I have never set foot there but I hope to do so some day.
