Scarecrows

Saw half of the Scarecrows in the village today - this was the best we've seen so far- an epic 'How to Train your Dragon' (originally listed as Beauty and the Beast and I like the swap). 

My scarecrows were put out a day late, up at 6am to get them sorted before guitar lessons and I was rewarded with two small boys coming and reading the signs accompanying my offering this year, which explain the tale of Perseus and the Gorgon.  Women really had it tough in Greek myths - Danae's father locks her away in a cell for fear her son will kill him as prophesied, and then she gets impregnated by Zeus.  Medusa is so beautiful that Posideon falls in love with her, but she doesn't reciprocate so she gets turned into a hideous monster because its somehow her fault.  Consent definitely wasn't a thing back in those tales!

My Scarecrows in the extra, along with a blip of the husband with the cat up his jumper.  He was walking around for about half and hour with her sitting quite happily up there. If you look closely you can see her tail sticking out of the top of his jumper.
