Teignmouth

Today we met up with our daughter, son in law and grandson and our son in laws mother and sister.  They are staying in Torquay with them before coming over to stay with us tomorrow.  It was a mainly sunny day but a bit cooler than recent days.  This is a view of the beach when we first arrived, two large cruise ships can be seen on the horizon, they may be the Carnival Valor and Carnival Magic.  I liked their juxtaposition  with respect to the small boats in the foreground.

It was good to meet up with our son in laws mother and sister as we haven't seen them since lockdown.  We had a stroll along the sea front heading for Dawlish and when we stopped for our grandson to have some milk I spotted a friend who had caught the train and come for a stroll.  Later on after sandwiches in town we found a quiet spot where our grandson had his lunch.  Now that he is eating two meals a day I expected him to be spoon fed but they had a very convenient plastic container with a spout and he was able to suck out the soft food much like drinking from a sports water bottle.  We then wandered around the harbour area which was very busy, see extra, before heading back home.
