The Face

An 18ft high sculpture made from hundreds of highly reflective steel panels, called The Face of Wigan. The surface of the £80,000 work, by the British artist Rick Kirby, mirrors fragments of people passing by as well as the surrounding landscape.
Wigan Council do a great job of keeping the grassed area tidy and the flowers blooming!
It stands near the highest point of the town, and elicits varied responses from the townsfolk!
