Grangemouth and the River Forth.

After a fun afternoon tea in the garden with friends, MaggieD, Chloe and I took a short drive to Culross. Sadly the tide was way, way out so most of the usual shoreline birds were about a half mile of mud away. However, see todays extra, a few green shank were fortuitously exploring near the promenade.
I do like the view across the river, it is always a little bit different every time we visit, either the sky or the steam and smoke from the factories or as here, a rather spectacular flare.
