Lush

The weather may be terrible around here at the moment but the colours of the landscape are so lush.

We had a more home-based day today. We had friends over this morning and then one drama after another followed.

Mabel got electrocuted by a cattle fence. She’s ok.
Elbows lost his phone in a field. We found it.
HatBox flew a kite into some electricity cables. She didn’t mean to.
The kite burst into flames. The kite is no more.
The house lost power. And then all was restored.
2 boys set about cooking the family supper and set light to some garlic bread and the smoke alarms went off. We thought they’d started a fire. They hadn’t. But they nearly did.
Supper was nice.

I love family holidays. :-)
