Tongues of Fire shelling beans

There is something about shelling beans, or dried beans, that is fun for me. The whole growing season you don’t really know what the seeds will look like, Then you pick the pods, see extras, and remove the seeds. The seeds are similar, but there is still so much variation in color and patterns.
After separating the seeds from the pods the drying process is helped by a food dryer. See extra photos. We harvested 3.75 pounds of Tongues of Fire seeds.
