Rodents rule

It's been a long while since I ventured on a walk from London Bridge to Blackfriars. The train was fairly empty and we thought we'd check out Borough Market but we got as far as the side of Southwark Cathedral before feeling very uncomfortable and we got out of there sharpish. It's a narrow lane at the best of times with the restaurants, the outdoor seating and people walking through. Nothing has changed and it was packed, with the majority of people not wearing masks – mind you, they were eating and drinking, so... But the tables weren't distanced from what I could see.

We went the other way down the Thames Path by the Tate Modern. There was a masked queue for The Globe and people being sensible in the outdoor pub areas. We watched a dog chasing a log in the Thames by the beach for a short while then popped into the Bankside Gallery for an art and bookshop fix. I mentally bought several prints.

Fred felt a bit cold (the temperature has dropped somewhat) so we headed home. The blip is a view from the train somewhere around Elephant and Castle.

Juno is sapped of energy, recovering from yesterday's yearly vet visit and the antibiotics I've started to give him for his bite, which seems to have swollen again. Hopefully, the drugs will kick in soon. We're missing his cheeky personality.
