First Thing

First thing today the coastal strip was pristine.  Within thirty minutes a dull shroud arrived from the south-east.  Today’s been chillier than late as well.  After work on the west wing of the bolt hole in Hoy it was back to normal duties.  Went in past my mother’s with CMC to give her a clean round, get her messages and make up her tablets.  For some reason my mother has a craving for Stilton – what does this presage?  CMC has broken the bank, in my absence, and bought a bonbon dish.
Back at base CMC received a call from Willie our Easter Ross correspondent, Fearn to be exact.  Sadly Willie has broken her wrist and has been held back recently.  We haven’t seen her for some time.  However, she is still fulfilling her role as the Country Club Membership Secretary.
I feel a week of exterior painting coming on.
