Babe in the Woods

The morning disappeared. My fault. Was such a lovely day, but we did get out eventually.

Made a basic, white, quick-bake bread in the machine. Success. After producing several successful rye breads, something went inexplicably wrong and threw 2 out - strange same recipe? Surprisingly the white made a pleasant change. Anyway, haven’t been able to get rye flour anywhere.

I had been searching for Panasonic vegan recipes. Few and far between. They all use milk powder. Learnt today the powder can be left out. And the butter, I knew, can be subbed with oil or vegan ‘butters’. My veganised white bread came out perfectly.

Then drove to Lilliput, parked, had a flat white and vegan sausage roll on the terrace at Martin Bennett. Then walked to the Landing Stage (overlooking Poole Harbour) at Evening Hill, a well kept secret. Then back up the road to H&M for more home-grown tomatoes and a chat.

Before leaving, they took us up to the look-out point, a delightful 10mn walk through a wooded area (another new discovery). Good to see some kids having fun. See extras for more pics.

Thanks to MaryElizaR for today’s Tiny Tuesday challenge.
