Farewell to an Old Friend

The garage came over a few weeks ago to jump start the car, fill the tyres, and take it away for it's service and MOT.  The prognosis, when they got it to the shop, was not good.  Up to £575 in repairs, plus corrosion on the frame, which they could not repair.
Regretfully, we decided to let it go, and one of the mechanics was willing to take it off our hands.  He'll probably strip it for parts.
And yes, there were tears involved.  I bought the car new, just 17 years ago, and it's taken me all over the country, from mid-Wales, to Somerset, to Scotland.  To Pipers' Guild summer schools in Derby, Leeds, and other places.  I will miss the mobility and freedom, but it was time.

And the extra is what I would have posted:
'Woman of Willendorf'.  There's a passing resemblance.  The colours came up very well, with a fair bit of tweaking.  Two layers of builder's gravel and one of concrete wall.
