Year 6 ready

Will went back to school today. Hurrah! Officially he is now a year 6, not sure what that will look like this year, it normally involves a Lion King trip and a five night residential in North Wales. And we won't be able to visit potential secondary schools, that will all being done online, which will be a very different experience on which to base school choices. But he's happy to be back, be with his friends and new teacher and to be able to access the school library, in particular the yr6 books that he can now borrow without asking permission.

Carys did an hour of maths this morning, we then headed to town to the post office and to return shoes to Clark's. While we were there I got her feet measured. She is officially a size 8F and she has her eye firmly on my shoes!

From there we dropped down to Welwyn to pick up Will's new 3/4 size violin and then on to Richmond. Carys is lucky enough to be on a Back to the Studio course for the next five afternoons. It is aimed at vocational level kids and is taking place at White Lodge. She loved it, I loved the driving a little less!
