Commuting (Day 1945)

After sorting some stuff out at home and once my beautiful wife had zoomed off to do hoss stuff, I made my way into town, collected some bits and caught the ferry across to Sanday.
The job was to plumb in a washing machine, and turned out to be far more difficult and time consuming than anticipated. Island plumbing is unusual.
The boat home was at 5pm and I had a much shorter wait than I had expected. The strong wind made for a.fairly bumpy crossing, and the overcast sky made for poor fairly poor photo opportunities.
Back home i had a visit from my scrap man who exchanged a load of brass and copper for some cash.
