Rocks

The weather was predicted to be wet today so we headed out on the bus to the south-west corner of the island and had several options to shorten the walk if required. As it happens the weather was flat and dull in the morning, until we got to this beach when it started to have horizontal rain coming in from the Atlantic. We came back out of this beach and round to another one, where we found a very neat hole in the sea wall which gave us a clean dry spot for lunch and a stunning view of the waves crashing onto the beach and the driving rain.

After lunch we went inland rather than staying exposed on the coast. After about 15 minutes of tracking in-land the rain stopped and we arrived warm and dry at our destination. The village was little dull and bland, but we were able to get a decent flan at the bakery and some bread for dinner.

We eventually took the bus home completing our last full day on the island.
