Timing

Up early as I was off to Sainsbury’s and daughter was dropping her dog off at 8. Food shop done, called at pet shop for dog food. Home, unpacked shopping and straight back out to meet friends for coffee. We have never left the two dogs alone for long as not sure how the older one would cope with Hetty so we left the pup having a quiet spell and took the Jack with us. Daughter had an important briefing and a number of on line meeting hence us having her dog and she was messaging me throughout the rest of the day between meetings. The company she works for announced reduction in staff and re structure, so even if she doesn’t get made redundant her job will change. She is obviously stressed and hence needed to talk. I managed to iron and sort cloths for our trip while responding to her messages.
Her dog had a problem with her foot, we think she got a wasp sting, so I bathed her foot and she snoozed until daughter arrived and we all went for a walk. Once in the park she forgot about the foot when the squirrels appeared.
We have cancelled holidays in September for the past two years to be here for her and felt this could be a third time but although stressed she seems to be coping. She is obviously worried as she had six months off work last year and feels this is going to be an issue. Her partner is back tomorrow night after a few weeks away so think that will be good for her.
Not had time to take photos today, hence Hetty again after her hectic day and half hour play with me this evening.
