Sock, Third Iteration

Anybody remember the talking Barbie who said, "Math is hard... "  ?  Well, socks are hard. This is the third time I've cast on. The first go-round ended when my knitting advisor suggested I try to see if the first two inches would fit around my instep, in other words, could I get it on my foot. Turned out it was too big. Better to find out at two inches than four, so I ripped it out. Second time I didnt get very far at all because I joined the circle badly. Third time's a charm. It better be. The yarn is gonna wear out before it ever gets to be a sock.
